General travel terms for package trips – Studentresor
The package trips are arranged by Student Life d.o.o. (OIB 03022694014), Split, Croatia. Studentlife Sweden AB is the Swedish point of contact and is not the organiser of the package trip.

For package trips booked through Studentresor, these terms apply together with the applicable package travel legislation — the EU Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302 as implemented in Croatian law, since the trips are arranged by Student Life d.o.o. The terms also take into account the nature of the trip, for example student trips with specific transport, accommodation and activity setups.
These terms form a binding agreement between you as the traveller and Student Life d.o.o. (Studentresor).
1. The agreement
The booking becomes binding only once you've received written confirmation by email. The main traveller is the person who books the trip and is responsible for the entire booking. Travellers under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent. You're responsible for checking that the booking confirmation and travel documents are correct. Studentresor reserves the right to adjust preliminary departure and return times.
2. Price and payment
Prices are shown including taxes and mandatory fees. Payment is split depending on how far off your departure is: • More than 120 days before departure: 40% within 48 hours of booking, 30% 90 days before departure and 30% 30 days before departure. • 61–120 days before departure: 50% within 48 hours of booking and 50% 30 days before departure. • 60 days or less before departure: the full amount within 48 hours of booking. The first payment is a part-payment of the trip's total price.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel the trip before departure. The cancellation must be made in writing by the main traveller. For cancellations for reasons other than those that give a right to cancel free of charge under mandatory law, the following standard cancellation fees apply: • 40 days or more before departure: 30% of the trip's total price. • 39 days or less before departure: 100% of the trip's total price. Amounts already paid are offset against the cancellation fee. If you've paid more than the applicable cancellation fee, the difference is refunded. If you've paid less, you remain liable for the remaining part of the cancellation fee. At your request, we'll provide a justification for the amount of the cancellation fee. In the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination or its immediate vicinity that significantly affect the package trip or the transport there, you have the right to cancel the contract without a cancellation fee and receive a full refund in accordance with applicable law.
4. Transfer of booking
You may transfer the booking to another person who meets all the conditions for the trip, provided we're notified in writing within a reasonable time before departure. Notice given at least seven days before departure is always considered to have been given within a reasonable time. The original and the new traveller are jointly and severally liable for the remaining payment and for the actual costs arising from the transfer. These costs may not be unreasonable or exceed our actual costs for the transfer. We'll provide documentation of the costs on request.
5. Changes and cancellations
We may make minor changes to the trip if the right to such changes has been reserved in the contract, the change is insignificant and you're clearly informed on a durable medium. If, before departure, we need to significantly change any of the trip's main characteristics, you may — within the time limit stated — choose to accept the change or cancel the contract without a cancellation fee. If we offer a replacement trip, you can choose to accept it. If the change or the replacement trip means lower quality or cost, you're entitled to a reasonable price reduction. If the contract is cancelled, all payments are refunded without undue delay and no later than within 14 days. A trip may be cancelled due to too few participants only if the minimum number of participants required for the trip is stated in the contract. Notice of a cancelled trip is given as required by law: • At least 20 days before departure for trips lasting more than 6 days. • At least 7 days before for trips of 2–6 days. • At least 48 hours before for trips under 2 days.
6. Liability
Student Life d.o.o. (Studentresor) is responsible for the entire package trip being carried out in accordance with the contract. If something goes wrong, we must be given the opportunity to put it right within a reasonable time. If, before departure, the organiser has to cancel the trip due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, you'll receive a full refund of the payments made for the trip, but you're not normally entitled to additional compensation because of the cancellation itself. If problems arise during an ongoing trip, the organiser's obligations under applicable package travel legislation apply, including the obligation to provide reasonable assistance and, where required, to try to arrange alternatives.
7. Complaints
Faults or shortcomings should be reported as soon as possible given the circumstances, preferably on site. We must be given a reasonable opportunity to try to remedy the problem, unless this is impossible, disproportionate or the situation requires immediate action. Your rights to a price reduction or compensation under applicable law are not affected.
8. The traveller's responsibilities
The traveller must follow instructions from the tour leader and accommodation staff. You're responsible for having a valid passport and a visa where required. We strongly recommend that you have valid private travel insurance. Disruptive behaviour, damage or breaking the rules may result in you being removed from the trip without a refund.
9. Assistance during the trip
Studentresor provides assistance with problems during the trip — for example illness, lost documents or other urgent situations. Our on-call service can be contacted when needed.
10. Disputes
We try to resolve disputes directly between the parties first. If you live in an EU or EEA country other than the organiser's, you can get information and assistance with a cross-border consumer dispute through the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) by contacting the centre in your country of residence. A dispute may also be heard by a competent court. This provision does not limit the mandatory consumer rights or dispute-resolution options you have under applicable law.
The contract is governed by Croatian law. This choice of law does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you are entitled to under the law of your country of residence.
Studentresor is a brand, and the package trips are arranged by Student Life d.o.o. We provide travel packages for young people and students to selected European destinations. We work with various groups and organisers — in such collaborations, special terms or deviations may apply according to the agreements made. By booking with us, you accept these terms.
